Gianfar Peaks of Pern roleplay is Pern inspired roleplay. Gianfar Peaks Tiny Empires ("TE") is a hud based game whose home is in our sims in their own skybox. They are not related to each other and Gianfar TE members are not required to participate in the roleplay, but Gianfar TE members have the right to be in the sims providing they abide the rules "Rules for Everyone" and "Visitor Rules" while in roleplay areas, and will get extra perqs and rights. Their home is Gianfar, too.
Pern Inspired (that means Off-Canon) Roleplay:
The primary roleplay group for Gianfar Peaks of Pern roleplay is the Gianfar Peaks of Pern (GPoP) group, although until recently we housed all roles in the Dragons of Pern (DoP) group while we were in construction. Now the Dragons of Pern group is the Weyr group. Those DoP members who are not in the Gianfar Peaks of Pern group should contact a Guardian of Gianfar or a Gianfar Recruiter to get the group.
To join GPoP you should write a notecard introducing yourself, telling us a bit about your knowledge of Pern, and letting us know what role you are considering playing. Tell us what your registered name on this website is, so that we know you have visited here. You may even want to go ahead and write your character profile on the forums under New Applicants and let us know in the notecard you have done so. Drop the notecard in the "Drop Hides Here" dropper, the blue vase, located at the back of the room of the Gianfar sim spawning point. Someone will contact you about joining as soon as they can give you their undivided attention. If you attempt to circumvent the dropper to join the group do not be surprised if you are ignored. We are all quite busy building the sims and getting the roleplay launched. We are happy to give our time to those who help us facilitate that process, and we tend to ignore those who don't bother to do their homework first.
If you have questions you should feel free to contact any of the mentors, who are listed on this website. Please don't ask them to add you to the group, the above process is required.
Tiny Empires in Gianfar:
The official, approved Gianfar Tiny Empires kingdom in the Gianfar sims is the Gianfar Peaks of Tiny Empires group. There are no other approved Gianfar Tiny Empires groups.
The most expedient way to join the Gianfar Peaks kingdom is to contact any of the members in the "Gianfar Peaks of Tiny Empires" group and tell them you'd like to join. All our members are happy to add new people to their lines and help you get started. If you see players in the sims with tags that say "Princess" "Prince" "Duke" "Duchess" "Queen" "Loyal" and the like, they are Tiny Empires members. Many of our Tiny Empires players are also roleplay members. Soo Novi is the Queen of the Gianfar Peaks of Tiny Empires kingdom, the owner of the sims, and the Weyrwoman in the roleplay.
There is a teleport at the Gianfar sim spawning point to the Gianfar skybox. This skybox has been set aside specifically for Tiny Empires use. Please be aware that Gianfarian TE players are fond of their skins, and it is not uncommon for there to be nudity and/ or adult themes occuring in the skybox. If you do not wish to be exposed to this you should not visit the skybox. If you are a child avatar we request that you change to an adult avatar or leave if you find adult activities cropping up around you in the OOC areas or the Skybox to remain in compliance with Second Life® Terms of Service regarding child avatars and mature themes. Child avatars are not permitted in the roleplay areas except on announced child rp days.

To participate in this website you only need to read the Rules, be over 18 years of age, and register. You do not need to be a member of Second Life® to participate on this website. Guests are welcome, but have reduced viewing abilities and can not post. Spam registrants are deleted without notice. If you have tried to register and have not gotten a response it's possible you are using an IP address that has previously been banned for spam. Contact Soo Novi in world to address the situation.

The "Gianfar Peaks of Pern," "Gianfar," "Gianfar Peaks of Tiny Empires" names, and the permutations thereof, are owned by Soo Novi, a resident of Second Life, and used solely by agreement with Soo Novi.
No use of the Gianfar name is permitted without expressed authorization. Absolutely NO merchandise or sale items are allowed without an agreement with Soo Novi.
Use of the Gianfar name will require the agreement of Soo Novi. While it is not our intention to stifle your enthusiasm or support, we reserve all rights to the use of this name.
You may use these names to reference your support and affiliation with these groups, particularly in your profiles and such. You may not create merchandise or claim approval for created items, whether given or sold, or create events, name land and locations, or in any way claim affiliation beyond your membership and support, without expressed consent as above.
